What you get in your Six Week Beginners Wheel Throwing Pottery class:
– Tuition from Experienced Ceramic Artist, Wesley Denic
– One 10kg pug of clay
– A tool kit
– Glazes & kiln firing of pieces
– Our classes are run in small groups (maximum of 6 participants)
We run two Beginners Wheel Throwing classes per term:
– Monday Evening (7:00pm – 9:00pm), and
– Tuesday Evening (7:00pm – 9:00pm)
Duration:
– The six classes run over a seven week period – with NO CLASS in the FIFTH WEEK, to allow for bisque firing your creations in the kiln.
– After bisque firing, you will then glaze your works in your sixth (final) class.
– Your tutor will then final fire your works and we'll be in contact to let you know when they are ready to be picked up!
What to bring:
– A sturdy bag to carry your clay/tools to and from class
– An apron to protect your clothes – clay can get a little messy!
– Short nails are also ideal, as it helps your smooth and manipulate the clay
